Danny, also known as the pseudonym Critical Badger, is a Madison, Wisconsin resident and student at the University of Wisconsin. Started as one component of a larger academic study evaluating the influence of new media on local public debates, this project has grown into an endeavor spanning almost three years. The Critical Badger uses the backdrop of a city (Madison) and its university – the students, media, administration, and culture – to discuss higher education and politics in the state of Wisconsin and possible trends for the rest of the country.
