A few items I’ve been musing over recently:
– Erik hits the nail right on the head. What’s wrong with our Badgers? Stop beating your girlfriends and stealing stuff. How about not losing to Iowa at home, instead? Is it the AD office? The kids recruited? The coaching staff? Could it be this?
He writes:
“The Badger football team is getting ridiculous. We should make every new player sign a waiver saying if they get in legal trouble, they lose their scholarship. We could even include a short questionnaire:
1.) Will you get in a fight with your girlfriend in an Ogg dorm room? (Randle El)
2.) Will you get into a fight on Mifflin Street? (Stanley)
3.) Will you choke your girlfriend the night before appearing in court for previously mentioned Mifflin fight? (Stanley…again)
4.) Will you threaten someone with a bat in front of Sellery Hall? (P.J. Hill)
5.) Will you steal an Xbox with your brother? (Ikegwuonu)”
– Why can’t the Herald or Cardinal produce something like this? Maybe team up with WSUM and the J-School. The other UW’s is pretty sweet. Maybe a weekly production? Video editorials, ASM coverage, “The Daily SLAC report”, and I think it’s a lot more accessible to the undergraduate population.
– Great website for those who want to be scared straight at night. It’s like Drifting by a Weil and Critical Badger had a blog-baby and it only focused on crime.

It’s because of people like you that this school has a problem with recruitment and retention. Wake up, Anon., it’s 2007, and that just ain’t right.
